Playa de las Teresitas is the most beautiful beach on Tenerife

Playa de las Teresitas is the most beautiful beach on TenerifeMust visit on Tenerife - most beautiful beach Playa Teresitas

Playa de las Teresitas beach is perhaps the most beautiful beach on the whole Tenerife. The beach is very long, so the first thing we went to see it from the highest point, especially since sun just loomed on the horizon.

The lookout point is on a mountain, which can be reached up for several kilometers by serpentine road. There are still some abandoned buildings covered with street art.

Playa de Las Teresitas is in the north of Tenerife and is considered to be the city beach of Santa Cruz, the capital. The nature is almost wild here. The mountains are throughout, just a few buildings scattered here and there and a small neat town under the mountain near the beach.

Here is how the coolest Tenerife’s beach looks like. And what is the most important – it’s not in a resort area in the south, such as Los Cristianos, Las Americas or as the popular resort of Puerto Cruz in the northeast. Playa de Las Teresitas is a calm harbor, surrounded by mountains that shield from winds and by protective breakwater that hinders the ocean waves. This calmness is seen in the mirror water blueness.

If to come closer, everything becomes even more picturesque!

Small boats and fishermen, and seagulls sunbathing in morning sun.

Nowhere in the world will one find such calm ocean water, just here the tranquility is.

In fact, half of that beauty exists owing to people who brought here the golden sand from the Sahara and built the breakwater so that the ocean couldn’t take away all the sand.

There is only one small drawback – slow water circulation, it’s almost like a closed lake with a port next to it.

Infrastructure is minimal and unobtrusive here. Parking along the beach, 3-4 cafes, restrooms, showers, and deckchairs.

Basically just elderly senhors and senhoras rest here.
