The most amazing point of Tenerife is Taganona and Benijo

The most northerly point of Tenerife is Taganona and Benijo This place impressed us and we are very satisfied we went so far! We launched out from Playa de Las Teresitas beach.

Then we wanted to visit the Anaga forest but we met nothing interesting along the way and we went down the serpentine road into another poorly attended and not that popular side of the island.

At first we were coming up the mountains for long from Playa de Las Teresitas, and then crossed the mountain through a tunnel and went out on the other side.

Mountains as though fearless boco smashers. It seems like a little island in the ocean – but in fact these are the steady hard rocks. And little people managed to conquer them and settle in.  Taganona town. These residents actually live on the edge, in the provinces, far from everybody else.

But they are visited by tourists, so there are many restaurants here.

We went into one of them to wait for suitable light. We ordered soup and local goat cheese and, of course, barraquitos. We were brought a large bread roll with Canary mojo sauces – as a welcome. The soup is plain home-made and the delicious cheese – parched with blueberry jam. The price is 10 Euros. No Internet connection.

We glanced from the window over the views of the mountains and the waves constantly trying to jump higher and higher to conquer the stones.

Interiors here – … it’s better to watch the ocean out of the window.

Cool place, there are beaches here and people aren’t afraid of swimming amid the giant waves. And, of course, windsurfers come here.

Usually they come here for the daytime. But perhaps there should be some accommodation for tourists.

The waves hypnotize. You want to see how they are gaining steam and approaching closer and closer to you.

The most interesting place is between Taganona and Benijo. Former port with large round rock stone in the middle which it’s possible to enter.

It’s likely that such a haze from the waves is almost always here, for there is no calm. The ocean assails and bothers the island every day. There’s such atmosphere here that you don’t want to leave. We were lucky in catching colors – such gentle, soft, and pastel.

And you can watch surfers trying to surf. You must be careful with equipment here since the spindrift is everywhere, and sometimes quite strong waves reach the stone you stand on.

This place really impressed us and allowed making cool footage)

The same serpentine road through the forest, through the capital with traffic jams on the way back. But it’s worth it.
